HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
(020) 7834 6969 or (020) 7963 2620
Patients should telephone
for appointments, both urgent and non-urgent, or call in person at
the surgery.
We operate an appointments
system to cut down on waiting - everybody's least favourite thing
about visiting the doctor - but please be patient if we are running
late; complex or urgent problems must be given the time they deserve.
If you have a particularly difficult problem, or require two members
of the family to be seen, please make a double appointment. If you
cannot obtain an appointment which you consider to be appropriate,
please ask to speak to one of the doctors.
Many small matters can be dealt with over the telephone. The best time to ring is between 10.30am and 12 noon. In most cases we will take your number and the doctor will call you back after his/her surgery.
HOW
DO I... OBTAIN
A HOME VISIT?
(020) 7834
6969
We are happy to visit all
housebound patients in their homes, or if you really can't make it
to the surgery. But home visits take much longer than surgery appointments,
so we ask you to request a visit only if it is impossible to attend.
We try to visit between 12 noon and 2.00pm, so please request a visit
before 11.30am. In matters of extreme urgency, we will respond immediately.
HOW
DO I... OBTAIN
TEST RESULTS?
X-ray results, except where
urgent, take nine days to be reported and laboratory results usually
take one week. We will endeavour to contact you if the result is worrying
but please always contact reception yourself in any case. Do
make sure that all specimens have your name on them and leave them
at the reception desk before 3.00pm when the courier comes to collect
them. Phone for results between 11.00am and 1.00pm and 4.00 and 5.00pm.
